Last time we went to Whistler we saw not one but two bears on the side of the road. Tyler and Dad insisted on getting out for a photo opportunity while I waited anxiously with the car running. Evidently it’s not common knowledge that you do not throw food at bears, nor is climbing over a barrier to get a closer look considered appropriate. We didn’t stick around to see the consequences.

Basic Bear Knowledge-Whistler spring 08'
Last time we went to Whistler we saw not one but two bears on the side of the road. Tyler and Dad insisted on getting out for a photo opportunity while I waited anxiously with the car running. What! That is so cool you guys got to see bears! I've been wanting to see some forever now. Ty is so tuff to get out of the car and pose. That is too cool!
Oh that picture freaks me out. That's cool you got to see them but it makes me anxious/nervous.

A tiny bit scary....
One time we were hiking and we found a rattlesnake sleeping under a large rock. Every single one of us sat or laid on that rock for pictures of a rattler beneath us. We're idiots.
